Hi! ----
A while ago I filed bug #6452782 ("RFE: /usr/bin/pwd should support the -P and -L options") to ge tthe "-P" and "-L" options implemented for /usr/bin/pwd ... ... but today I realised (after consuming some coffee) that this idea is completely for /dev/null (or just incredibly dumb) - calling "pwd" as seperate process will always only see the physical path (e.g. all symlinks resolved) and not the logical view. Therefore the whole RFE is "invalid". However IMO it would still make sense to use the libshell builtin code for this - what is the Sun policy in this case ? Is an ARC case required for this (e.g. both the current code for "pwd" and the use of the libshell builtin code will produce identical results) ? ---- Bye, Roland -- __ . . __ (o.\ \/ /.o) roland.mainz at nrubsig.org \__\/\/__/ MPEG specialist, C&&JAVA&&Sun&&Unix programmer /O /==\ O\ TEL +49 641 7950090 (;O/ \/ \O;)
