/usr/bin/alias crashes when unsupported options are passed to the command, e.g.
if someone tries to do a $ /usr/bin/alias -v # (note that this does not happen
when using the "alias" bulitin in ksh93 itself, in that case the error handling
in the shell seems to catch the problem somehow).

We'll deploy a workaround until a real fix becomes available...
