The original plan was to only cover only those AST commands (e.g. "mktemp", "fold") where the codebase added with ksh93-integration update2 already passes all (standards) tests to make the putback work as easy as possible... ... on the other side the ARC case has the phrase "... Each feature is self contained and independent of the others, so out of order and partial putbacks at this granularity should have no adverse impact on the functionality and behavior of the system as a whole. ..." which allows us to do the update in pieces and no longer as one all-in-one putback...
