Did I miss seeing mention of an /etc/magic entry for compiled ksh scripts, or has that already been done? (or has it been forgotten?)
Perhaps desktop typing engines (CDE, GNOME, maybe whatever KDE uses and whatever might typically be used as a file manager along with Xfce) should know about this too, if only to be able to recognize it as something executable but _not_ editable. Maybe there are some other typing engines that need to know too (is there a list of these damn things somewhere?). This message posted from opensolaris.org
