Since what was integrated had a fair amount of our own delta on top of these patches, we wanted a copy of what we started with in the gate as documentation. In this case there were a number of different patches we could have started with, and these represent the ones that our branch is built upon. Another way to do this would have been to integrate three SCCS deltas: original GRUB wad, patched GRUB, and then our own delta. Now that we're well past this, those files could / should become targets of a dead-file clean-up. Just let me know if you want me to move them to deleted-files. -jan
