Why was the Keyword 'oss-sponsor' removed from the bug? I and the rest
of the team are still interested to fix 6800113, 6790507, 6631969 and
all other bugs we have requested sponsorship for.

Description
RFE: We need a /usr/xpg4/bin/printf utility. /usr/bin/printf does
not conform to the POSIX specification since the "%s" precision option
counts in screen columns for SystemV backwards compatibity and cannot be
changed. Therefore we need (for standards conformace) a
/usr/xpg4/bin/printf where "%s" counts in bytes as defined by POSIX/SUS
(based on the AT&T AST/ksh93 printf implementation since it contains
already the neccesry code).
