I don't believe Solaris 11 is "going fully GNU". Or should be.
/usr/gnu/bin has been a quality disaster (compared to the AST commands
and many of the Solaris 10 commands) and replacing /usr/bin commands
with the code from GNU coreutils would mark the end of an independent,
innovative and quality-oriented user land command set.

It would be madness from Oracle to attempt to "go fully GNU".
