Firstly, as a quiet observer of this list I'd like to share my concern for the
future of this project in the hope of increasing the apparent size of the
list's readership. I don't know how many people are on this list, but I
suspect there are quite a few others in the same situation as me.
OSS is inherently globally distributed which offers a fantastic opportunity for
talented people with similar interests to collaborate. At the same time it
could be very beneficial for the project if collaborators were actually able to
meet in person. We are social animals and in my professional experience with
off-shore offices and outsourcing, the productivity of the distributed working
relationship is greatly improved once the people involve meet
face-to-face. Depending upon where contributors are located, regional meet ups
might be possible. Perhaps we could enhance the wiki area for this...

Anyway, to the real purpose of this email.
I visited ktechlab.org just now and noticed that the "Get Involved" and "About"
links point to pages with the text: TODO
http://www.ktechlab.org/about.htm
http://www.ktechlab.org/involved.htm
Holding pages like these make the project look immature and abandoned which is
not the image I'd like to see accompany such a promising project, especially at
such a critical time.
Let's make the "About" page point to:
http://www.ktechlab.org/wiki/index.php?title=KTechLab
For the "Get Involved!" page I created a new wiki page:
http://www.ktechlab.org/wiki/index.php?title=Get_Involve ...please review this
page and add any additions/modifications as you see fit. I placed a
slightly-out-of-place link to it on the front page.d
Let's do everything we can to encourage potential new contributors to join this
project.
Long Live KTechLab!
