hi, I just setup my openSUSE BuildService account and created a KTechLab sub- project in my homedir on their servers. I took a .spec file from another repository providing the 0.3.6 version of KTechLab, linked the dependencies into my build dir and changed the .spec file to work.
I can now create packages for openSUSE 11.1 (x86_64 and i586), 11.0 should be one click (and even 10.x, I guess) and it should be possible to create debian and *ubuntu-packages. For the .deb there is still some work to be done and I'm not sure if we gonna need this. I suggest to work on that on demand. The machines are damn fast and new packages can be created in a few minutes (if the .spec files work and everything compiles). Since I uploaded a .spec file containing a typo, it just failed during install tests, so they are gonna do it again..... I will go to sleep now and see the result in the morning ;) An interesting fact to mention: the OBS builds its packages in fresh environments (they create a xen-VM for every build from scratch!) and the whole process is twice as fast as just compiling only the sources on my laptop :-/ Does that mean I need new hardware? ;) bye then julian PS: ahh, you can find the packets there, btw: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/j_ohny_b:/KTechLab/ No KTechLab build in there, but if everythings runs fine, they will be in some minutes.. ;)
