Hello Alan,

I would recommend to write a netlist generator for ktechlab so that
the pcb layout can be drawn with "pcb"[1] and use its "export to
gerber files"feature. These gerber files can then be opened with
gerbv[1]. Maybe if you look at the gnetlist (from gEDA/gaf), it will
help you create such a netlist generator.

Both pcb and geda are both being actively developed and I believe
ktechlab should not rewrite another pcb layout tool, but rather use an
existing one.
