It looks like the glitch in the current version of diode is triggered when it is started up in forward bias. If you start it up reversed biased, it works for a while until you put too much signal on it and it'll latch up and become useless. =*(
This is a major bug and even though it's entirely my fault, I'd greatly appreciate any help in figuring out exactly why the code is behaving as it is now.
