Hi,
It might have seen that there was not much activity on the mailing list,
but on IRC ( #ktechlab ) certainly was.
Now there exist at least 2 people, who managed to view a circuit with the
kde4 version of ktechlab.
The instructions have been updated, so if someone is interested, here is
a point to start from:

Currently the kde4 version is able to open and show ktechlab documents,
si don't expect much from it. But at least it is supposed to work.
