Hi Trifork, I believe you might be affected by the GCE issue described in this discussion [1]. The symptom is that after the upgrade you are not able to deploy new VMs in the default network ( "The default network interface [nic0] is frozen").
Can you try such test and send me the result via a private message as well as the affected Project ID?
