We're currently evaluating GKE for a project and this is a major hold up for
us. It appears Calico is supported on GKE but requires use of Debian nodes. Is
there any sort of roadmap on GKE supporting network policy? Any guidance on how
this will be implemented?

I'd hate to switch to Debian nodes and implement Calico for this project only
to have GKE support NetworkPolicy through the native networking/firewall setup
or something similar in the near future.
