Ubuntu | kynaptic
Summary: Kynaptic appears to hang but in fact wants console input
Product: Ubuntu
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: kynaptic
AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
QAContact: [email protected]
When running Kynaptic from the KDE panel, after installing software it appears
to hang. Upon running it from
the console, the problem revealed itself: Kynaptic prompts for console input
for actions that the graphical
user interface obviously doesn't support. For example:
Configuration file `/etc/kde3/kdm/kdmrc'
==> Modified (by you or by a script) since installation.
==> Package distributor has shipped an updated version.
What would you like to do about it ? Your options are:
Y or I : install the package maintainer's version
N or O : keep your currently-installed version
D : show the differences between the versions
Z : background this process to examine the situation
The default action is to keep your current version.
*** kdmrc (Y/I/N/O/D/Z) [default=N] ?
