And it's not just with USB, but with IEEE 1394 as well. > At > a guess, it seems to affect ANY hotpluggable media, regardless of bus. > > I have also observed that it mounts the filesystem on /media/usbdisk/ (or > /media/ieee1394disk/) as well as /media/sda1/ (depending on how many prior > mounts are in place). Just to note also that the problem occurs on a system upgraded from hoary to breezy (having been originally installed as a Kubuntu hoary system). It appears that the problem is that hotplug & hal now makes the mountpoints as /media/usbdisk or /media/<LABEL> (e.g. /media/PENDRIVE) if the device has a label, whereas the KDE media: protocol is still looking for /media/sda1. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug, or are watching the QA contact. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] http://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
