------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2005-10-22 22:17 UTC -------
I booted my computer (AMD64) Kubunutu 5.10.

I logged in.
GAIM loaded and logged me in.
I tried to open System Update Wizard (Adept Updater) and received this error:

------------------------------------------
DCOP communications error(Adept Updater)
There was an error setting up inter-process communications for KDE. The message
returned
by the system was:

Authentication Rejected, reason: None of the authentication protocols specified
are
supported and host-based authentication failed.

Please check that the "dcopserver" program is running!
------------------------------------------

I hit "okay" and it loaded the Updater anyway!

My entire Authentication Log for the session reads:
