It is quite strange - command line sound (e.g. mpg321) works fine - arts system sounds (e.g. during logon and logoff) works fine - but any KDE multimedia program does not work
Deleting any kde and qt config file befor login does not change. Comparing /etc/kde3 with a dir from a fresh dapper drake installation shows not sound relevant difference.
