I have a similiar problem, amarok is crashing and taking with him all the OS, everything is frozen but the cursor. It seems to be related with the khtml kpart that amarok uses for the context and the wiki search. If I use amarok without maximizing the window it works flawlessly. I have stumbled with the same problem with other programs, like konqueror and ktorrent when I want to use khtml. My English sucks, sorry.
