I'm having the same problem as well - but only since the release of Amarok 1.4.0 - with older versions the streaming was fine. I still can play radio streams with Kaffeine but not with Amarok. The bug seems to affect other distrubtions as well, see: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128256
