Have you configured APT to use the proxy? For instance in /etc/apt/apt.conf you should have a line similar to:
Acquire::http::Proxy "http://www-cache.strath.ac.uk:8080/";; -- adept doesn't work behind a proxy server https://launchpad.net/bugs/48682 -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
