1) can you do 'dmesg' command on console and attach (not paste) the
output here. Also look through the output for keywords like 'wifi' and
see if the wireless card is recognized
2) After you login, go to
K Menu --> System Settings --> Network
and see if WiFi network is detected and enabled. If not, go into
'Administrator' mode and try to add wifi connection
