Public bug reported: There are several tools missing from the qt4 dev tools. These would include:
qconfig - Used to configure Qt source building. Yes, qt4 is already built on ubuntu packages however these are development tools and qconfig would be useful for setting up features in alternative compiles of qt4. Like configuring qtopia/qt for embedded compiles or for building custom versions of qt4. qvfb - Used by qtopia as a virtual frame buffer. qvfb is only offered in the qt4 package and is used for development of qtopia applications while emulating a frame buffer. These tools and others included in the qt4 distribution from trolltech would be useful for all kinds of different developers and qt4-dev-tools seems to be just the package developers would install to develop software in Qt4/Qtopia. ** Affects: qt4-x11 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Missing tools - qconfig, qvfb https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/153479 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is a bug contact for qt4-x11 in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
