As Kopete works okay both with Yahoo and AIM, I fail to see how this will make any difference, it is obviously something to do with the way Kopete connects to MSN. Anyway, my hotmail address is not for MSN messenger but for Windows Live messenger and although it should work alright in either. I can also add that I did successfully use Kopete in another distro with no problems, so it is the way Kopete is setting MSN connection up. I also have to alter it when I set it up have to adjust the HTTP settings to use.
