It seems that upstream is fixing it in Amarok 2.0 only. I will chat with
some of the Amarok devs on IRC and see if I can get a little hand with
getting this fixed, as I know it annoys me that I can't skip a really
bad song one of my neighbors is listening to :) Thanks!
