You have been subscribed to a public bug:
Go into kaffeine, select DVB TV (for instance), program comes up,
television plays with sound.
After a short period, say 10 seconds, kaffeine will freeze, sound will
stop. Sometime kaffeine simply crashes.
If pulse audio is disabled in Preferences->Sound (+ALSA selected) and
the daemon killed (and waiting for gnome-power-manager to get over
pulseaudio disappearing), then kaffeine and other KDE programs work
fine.
