I'm using Kubuntu 8.10 with KDE 4.2 updates for intrepid from kubuntu-
experimental.
In KDE 3.x the encoding was stored across restarts by the session
manager.
In KDE 4.2 the encoding (after logging in) is always the default
encoding, i have to change each konsole window to the encoding i need
for the specific terminal.
