Binary package hint: scim-bridge
After installing scim-bridge-qt 0.4.14-1ubuntu2 successfully, I am able
to select the SCIM in the URL field of Konqueror 4. However in some
Konqueror webpages and many KDE4.0.2 applications such as Kate and
Kwrite, I can't choose "select IM" and select scim, and this bars me
from inputting Chinese using scim.

Many KDE4 applications (such as Kwrite and Kate) does not show the "select IM"
menu on right click, thus can't select and use scim
