I have this identical problem with my Kubuntu install on an HP Compaq DC7800. My network works fine, but it doesn't show up in this tool.
My original /etc/network/interfaces has a little more in it: # This file describes the network interfaces available on your system # and how to activate them. For more information, see interfaces(5). # The loopback network interface auto lo iface lo inet loopback # The primary network interface auto eth0 #iface eth0 inet dhcp I've been trying to manually configure it, but without much success. -- Kubuntu 9.04 Network Settings does not see any wired connection https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/388648 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to plasma-widget-network-manager in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
