Good news here! 10 minutes ago I successfully flashed my U90 with the 10G BIOS. Now both flickering and webcam (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/karmic/+source/linux/+bug/435352) bugs seem to be fixed. I strictly followed the steps listed at #265.
