Binary package hint: phonon
With KDE 4.5 Beta 1 updates in Maverick testing branch, the Xine backend
for phonon seems to be broken. It might be a packaging issue.
Configuring xine as backend in system settings just shows Pulseaudio
sound server as audio device. When we select this device and click, no
test sound is produced, where as test sound is produced for gstreamer
backend. Similarly, all phonon related applications like amarok, dragon-
player fail to produce any sound, whatsoever.
