Using maverick on amd64, fully upgraded, KDE desktop-effects do not work
since some time.
When trying to enable them via kwin config I get this information:
"Desktop effects are not available on this system due to the following
technical issues:"
But no issue is listed.
Log when launching kwin manually:
kwin() KWin::Workspace::setupCompositing: Initializing OpenGL compositing
kwin() KWin::Workspace::setupCompositing: KWin has detected that your OpenGL
library is unsafe to use, falling back to XRender.
kwin(): Failed to initialize compositing, compositing disabled
For debugging I tried to run glxgears, which work,s but only at 280 fps
Xorg log shows nothing suspicious.
