You have been subscribed to a public bug: I've upgraded my Ubuntu 11.04 to Ubuntu 11.10 and discovered that Gnome3 is a piece of s....., so I installed Kubuntu to give KDE a try. As I were on a Ubuntu instalation, I was using lightdm, the Ubuntu's default. And I realized that There is no option to Shutdown KDE. I did a research on the internet and found the link below, saying that I should use KDM to be able to Shutdown my KDE system normally (without have to logout first).
http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/ubuntu-linux/92923-cant-shutdown- kubuntu.html If think this is annoying, You should either make the shutdown option available when started by lightdm or at least force KDM when installing Kubuntu. ** Affects: kde-workspace (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Invalid ** Tags: kde kdm kubuntu lightdm shutdown -- KDE (Kubuntu) doesn't show shutdown option when launched by lightdm https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/872098 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kde-workspace in Ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
