With my daily updates (apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade) of today (July
4th) I lost KDE as choice on the authentication applet (pops up after restart).
The upgrade itself went smoothly, no errors reported, and I was asked to reboot
(it changed a number of KDE-packages and created a new initramfs).
I used to have a choice of KDE and fluxbox; today after that otherwise
successful upgrade the only choice left was fluxbox.
I did not see any package being uninstalled. My list of
dpkg -l | grep kde
is attached.
$ lsb_release -rd
