You have been subscribed to a public bug: I recently upgraded to Kubuntu 14.10 from Kubuntu 14.04 and I'm finding that my laptop screen no longer turns off after 5 minutes as I had it configured. In System Settings -> Energy Savings, I have "Screen Energy Savings" set to turn off after 5 minutes and it's been this way for a while. I most often use KDE but I also have fwm and xscreensaver installed. It seems that after the upgrade, only xscreensaver is used and not KDE's native power saving features.
This came from the question below and I was told to log a bug: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/256146 Please let me know what else I can provide to help - I'm relatively new to Linux so I'm not sure how to fully debug things. ** Affects: kubuntu-meta (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: bot-comment -- Kubuntu 14.10: Screen doesn't blank out when it's suppose to https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1385632 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kubuntu-meta in Ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
