Although if that actually meant the problem wasn't with plasma-workspace but rather with print-manager then I disagree. Clearly plasma-workspace has the ability to crash when presented with incorrect data. That itself is a bug! Applications should validate their input and handle errors appropriately. A crash is not an appropriate handling.
