Public bug reported:

Prior to 22.10 you could set /bin/sh to be bash (not dash) by using
"dpkg-reconfigure dash".

This functionality has disappeared in 22.10, as the dash.config file is
no longer in /var/lib/dpkg/info (dash.templates has also disappeared).

Is this intentional?

I can see no mention of it in the release notes for 22.10.

(Several third party products seem to assume that sh is bash building
them, so this removal will be annoying).
