Public bug reported:
I'm on Kubuntu 22.10, but have also added the Kubuntu backports ppa from
https://launchpad.net/~kubuntu-ppa.
This has installed KDE 5.27.2.
On my laptop and desktop systems I previously has an "Updates" item in the
System Tray which would run an update (daily?) and report if there was
something to update (unattended-upgrades is off on these systems).
This no longer happens. There is no Updates entry in the system tray.
Consequently I am never prompted to keep the system up to data and secure.
Not sure whether this happened on the first 5.27.x install (5.27.1) or
the update to 5.27.2.
Arguably it's a security vulnerability, but since it's in a backport
I'll leave that unchecked for the moment.
