With no indication as to which release of Kubuntu (and kate) you were
using when raising your bug report it would never have attracted the
attention of someone that could help resolve your issue.
And maybe it should have been raised upstream to KDE anyway?
If this is still an issue when using a currently maintained release of
Ubuntu then please let us know which one(s) otherwise this bug report
can be left to expire in approximately 60 days time.
