Beta 1 this week so I gave the Kubuntu Plasma 5 ISO a quick test.
Good news is it runs and installs successfully. Well done on Rohan
and others for getting it all together. Some issues I found...

Firefox is not in the appmenu, presumably needs kickoff patched, I wonder how
this fits in with our patch policy

GTK 2 themes are not set up by default, needs gtk2-qtcurve installed and
.gtk-2.0 file added

Similarly GTK 3 themes are not set by default, I don't think there is
gtk3-qtcurve so not sure what to do here

Desktop is missing an Install icon

kded5 goes 100% CPU before too long, this happened on the live image and the
install

ubiquity slideshow says 14.04

No plymouth theme, either on live system or install

After install autologin is not set even if you tick the box in Ubiquity

By default KDElibs 4 apps do not get colours or icons set, this changes if you
fiddle with widget style in systemsettings

By default KF5 apps do not get colours set right, also changes if you fiddle
with widget style

There is no kscreen (I just uploaded scarlett's package so it should get fixed
for tomorrow)

There is no print-manager (upstream problem, porters welcome)

khelpcentre misses any themeing, must be looking in the wrong place for the
images

phonon kcm misses icons for audio devices

power management kcm says Power Management Service is not running, although the
Plasma widget shows all the normal power management stuff fine

No SDDM KCM, I think Netrunner has packages for this so we can grab theirs

Default SDDM theme used by default on install even though breeze package is
installed

kubuntu-driver-manager not the Qt5 version

software-properties not the Qt5 version

muon lacks a bunch of software, I searched for Umbrello and it couldn't find it.

usb-creator-kde not the Qt5 version

libreoffice has its default theme even thought the libreoffice-oxygen package
is installed

gtk style -> get new themes is broken

redrawing windows is not at all smooth, flickers lots
