This seems like a solid plan. We're already testing and filing bugs, and will continue to do in the next release. We should be ready for LTS release with a smooth, reliable desktop. A bit of a pity about Plasma 5.3, but we can perhaps offer a test update at that time. Our users who value stability are staying on 14.04 anyway.
