That would be different :).

Still the biggest difference is probably that on VPS you would have access to multiple user accounts and more people who can access it using their own accounts.

And you could have more of a shell server.

Then you could turn it into a shell host for Kubuntu supporters/contributors with dedicated "who" and chat programs on board ;-).

A message board on the host ;-).

People would then use the system to come together and enjoy themselves ;-).
