Hello again, It's not so much a problem as a lack of functionality.
Currently the only way to allow people to translate is to give them editor access, and that means they have access to edit all and any article/page on the whole website, and that's not something that we want. I've raised the issue here[1] and hopefully we'll find a wordpress developer to implement this.
