From: Paul Loughman <[email protected]> Subject: Missing plugin file in package Date: December 10, 2015 at 1:02:07 PM CST To: [email protected] After a normal dist-upgrade this morning on my Kubuntu 16.04 64-bit installation, apt complained about a missing plugin file: kubuntu-text.so. I reinstalled the following plymouth packages: plymouth plymouth-x11 plymouth-label plymouth-theme-ubuntu-text plymouth-theme-kubuntu-logo plymouth-theme-kubuntu-text plymouth-themes libplymouth4 Apt still complained about the missing plugin file: W: plymouth: The plugin kubuntu-text.so is missing, the selected theme might not work as expected. W: plymouth: You might want to install the plymouth-themes package to fix this. I searched my system using locate for the file. It in fact does not exist. However, ubuntu-text.so does, located at: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/plymouth/ubuntu-text.so Can this be looked into and fixed? Thank you.
