Summary: freeze with debian 2.6.18-3-686

Initial Comment:
My system locks hard when trying to install WinXP SP2 Home with kvm-9 (kvm_amd
loaded) on a debian sid 2.6.18-3-686 kernel with a Turion64 x2 processor.

Command prompt:
kvm \
 -hda vdisk.img \
 -cdrom /WinXP.iso \
 -boot d \
 -m 384 \
 -no-acpi

The system locks hard and I have to shut it off by holding the power button for
four seconds. There are absolutely no messages in /var/log/syslog. No
messages anywhere that I could find. Any other place that I should be looking?
