As it doesn't involve code changes, I see no reason why it can't be 
merged into qemu.  The case would probably be stronger if distributions 
carried libposix-aio -- do they?

What are the long term plans for libposix-aio?  Do you plan to 
contribute it into glibc?

Also, it probably relies on kernel patches to get signal notification to 
work.  When are these patches going to be merged?
