Unfortunately, the BIOS doesn't allow me to configure anything like that and it's already the latest version released by HP. However, EFER.SVME isn't set before enabling it (checked using "rdmsrl(MSR_EFER, efer); printk(KERN_CRIT "DBG %d\n", efer & MSR_EFER_SVME_MASK);").
