Hello list, when I try to run a virtual machins with disk images stored into NFS mounted directories, the virtual machine cannot use the IDE disk as expected. This happens with linux(debian/centos) and other OS, like OpenBSD, OpenSolaris(nexenta), etc. For example, during installation of guest oses, they cannot partition the disk.
This is how I run KVM: sudo /usr/local/bin/qemu-system-x86_64 -m 256 -boot d -cdrom /mnt/debian-40r1-i386-netinst.iso -hda /mnt/disco.img -net nic -net tap,ifname=tap0,script=qemu-ifup And this is my NFS mounted partition: 10.172.224.3:/export on /mnt type nfs (rw,tcp,rsize=8192,wsize=8192,addr=10.172.224.3) kernel: 2.6.22 /Ubuntu Gutsy 2.6.22-10-generic KVM 36 Do you know what's happening?? Pherhaps i'm doing something wrong....?? Regards. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
