Summary: Mouse disappears

Initial Comment:
I am attempting to install Fedora Core 7 i386 in a Qemu/Kvm image under Ubuntu
7.04 x86_64. With the exception of the usual acpi snafus, the entire thing
goes smoothly, and reboots and runs. As soon as Qemu captures the mouse and it
is touched, it disappears.

This is a generic USB mouse plugged into A Dell Optiplex 745 with a Q6700
Intel. The kvm_intel virtualization works (the speed difference is profound),
the tap bridge to the etherne works (FC 7 informs me there are 187 packages to
update on a minimal install) but no mouse at all.

I am running kvm-40. Ubuntu 7.04 64 bit latest updates is the host, FC7
standard DVD iso distro is the guest. No mouse.
