Ok, a quick look and it seems the patch is doing the right thing
(as the spec) says. For PHYSBASE it's masking out bits 8-11 and for PHYSMASK
bits 0-10. Are you sure Android Emulator isn't attempting to
write to these reserved regions ?

What happens if you enable ignore_msrs ?
echo Y > /sys/module/kvm/parameters/ignore_msrs
